VINOSTEPS
Cookie Policy
Last updated 18 October 2026 · In case of any discrepancy between the Greek and English versions, the Greek version prevails.
1. Purpose
This Cookie Policy explains whether and how WINE DIGITAL SERVICES SINGLE MEMBER P.C., trading as “Vinosteps” (“Vinosteps”, “we”, “us” or “our”), uses cookies and similar technologies on vinosteps.com (the “Website”).
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that may be stored on a user's device when visiting a website. Similar technologies may include local storage, pixels, tags or other identifiers that store or access information on a device.
3. Cookie categories and consent
We distinguish three categories: (a) Necessary cookies and technologies. These are strictly required for the operation and security of the Website and for the completion of a service you have explicitly requested, such as session security, protection against attacks and automated traffic, payment completion through Stripe, and storing your own cookie choices. They are placed without prior consent, based on Article 4(5) of Greek Law 3471/2006 and Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC, which exempt technologies necessary to transmit a communication or to provide a service explicitly requested by the user. (b) Statistics cookies and technologies. Used to measure and analyse Website traffic and performance, for example through Google Analytics and Vercel Web Analytics/Speed Insights. (c) Marketing cookies and technologies. Used for advertising and retargeting on social media, for example through the Meta Pixel. Categories (b) and (c) remain fully disabled, and the related scripts are not loaded, until valid, freely given, specific, express and informed consent is obtained separately for each of them, through the mechanism described in Article 4.
4. Consent mechanism (cookie banner)
On first visiting the Website, a banner appears allowing you to: (i) accept all cookies, (ii) reject all non-necessary cookies, or (iii) choose separately by category (Statistics, Marketing). The "Accept all" and "Reject all" options appear on the first layer of the banner, with equal prominence and ease of access. No category is pre-selected as enabled. Non-necessary cookies are activated only after your consent, and the related scripts do not load beforehand. Refusing non-necessary cookies does not restrict your access to the Website or your ability to complete a booking. Your choice is stored for six (6) months. After that period, or if a new category or provider is added, the banner is displayed again. You may change or withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, through the "Cookie Settings" link permanently available at the bottom of every page of the Website. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
5. Cookie table
The table is updated whenever a provider is added or removed.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Category | Duration | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| _vcrcs | Vercel Firewall | Bot/attack protection | Necessary | Session | No |
| __stripe_mid, __stripe_sid | Stripe | Fraud prevention at checkout | Necessary | up to 1 yr / 30 min | No |
| _ga, _ga_<container-id> | Google Analytics | Traffic measurement | Statistics | up to 13 months | Yes |
| Vercel Web Analytics | Vercel | Traffic/performance measurement | Statistics | - | Yes |
| _fbp, fr | Meta (Facebook/Instagram) | Ad targeting, retargeting | Marketing | up to 90 days | Yes |
6. Payments and third-party services
Online payments are processed through Stripe. The cookies placed as part of the payment process, as described in the table in Article 5, serve fraud prevention and the completion of the transaction you explicitly requested, and fall within the necessary category. They are loaded only when you enter the booking checkout environment and not during ordinary browsing of the Website. Where the “Billing” page of the winery dashboard uses Stripe.js to transmit identity-verification data, the same necessary cookies are also loaded on that page, solely for authorised winery users. Stripe processes data as an independent controller for fraud-prevention and compliance purposes, under its own privacy policy.
7. External links
The Website may contain links to winery websites, map services or social-media platforms. Cookie use on those external websites is governed by the relevant provider's policies.
8. Browser settings
Most browsers allow you to view, block or delete cookies independently of the choices you make in our banner. Changing browser settings may affect other websites.
9. International transfers
Some of the providers referred to in this Policy (including Google, Meta, Stripe and Vercel) may process data outside the European Economic Area, in particular in the United States. Detailed information on recipients and transfer safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision) is set out in the Privacy Policy.
10. Data Protection Officer
Vinosteps has assessed the criteria of Article 37 GDPR and is not required, as at the date of this Policy, to appoint a Data Protection Officer. For any cookie- or data-related matter: info@vinosteps.com.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy when Website functionality, providers or legal requirements change, in particular when a new cookie/technology category is added. The current version is always published on this page.
12. Language precedence
This Policy is drawn up in Greek and English. In the event of any discrepancy between the two versions, the Greek version shall prevail. WINE DIGITAL SERVICES ΜΟΝΟΠΡΟΣΩΠΗ Ι.Κ.Ε.
